What

They Say About Me

Alberto Ghizzi Panizza is the most extraordinary photographer I have ever worked with. Probably the world's greatest expert in macrophotography and one of very few people in the world who understands every function of even the most sophisticated camera, he is a wonderful visual artist with a complete mastery of the palettes of light and colour used to create his striking images. His photography has played a fundamental and indispensable role in my most recent artistic projects.

Attentive. Sensitive. Considerate. Practical. Sensitive. Professional and technical yet always understandable. Courses and workshops with Master Panizza are like this. You are at the forefront of the scene but never alone. Never on your own. There's always advice or a simple tip to capture the scene in the best way possible. In your best way. And that's how you learn quickly. With straightforward yet precise technical information that you can directly apply in the field.

"Go to Alberto Ghizzi Panizza because, besides being a recognized excellent photographer, he will truly teach you how to photograph." This was the reason I reached out to Panizza after a couple of disappointments. Gradually, in a reasonable amount of time, he helped me achieve a photographic awareness that now allows me to have a great deal of fun. After my first individual workshop, I started joining the trips he organizes with Luca Vescera, where learning and enjoyment are guaranteed. In summary: his undeniable teaching ability combined with a simplicity in his approach makes him unique.

I have traveled with Alberto Ghizzi Panizza several times (Brittany and the Lofoten Islands, in particular, were unique experiences) and I must say that the professionalism encountered was top-notch. Alberto, together with his colleague Luca Vescera, offers trips that few others do, with stops that are never mundane and always unique (Eagles, Whales, Lighthouses, Ancient Cathedrals, Landscapes). The trips are never improvised but are prepared with site visits, drone exploration, and based on experiences from numerous previous journeys. The techniques taught and applied in the field allow each participant to fully express their creativity. I come from the old school of darkrooms and analog photography, but meeting Alberto opened up the world of digital photography to me, especially with the latest complex cameras of which he knows every secret. In addition to the workshops (Siena, Crete Senesi, Macro, Night Photography, Sunrises) and various trips, I have followed his online courses, which have been exemplary in their clarity. I take pride in knowing him and having learned a great deal from him.

I know several people who can take beautiful photos and many who can teach photography. But I only know one person who can teach you to see the world in a unique way through photographs. That person is Alberto Ghizzi Panizza, who, with elegance, professionalism, creativity, and humility, manages to make us love the world’s beauty through a lens. To me, his photos are pure emotion, transcending perfect technique, meticulous composition, impressive equipment, creative ability, the desire to innovate, and the thoroughness of preparation. Above all, Alberto has instilled in me the pride of taking a beautiful photo (I haven’t succeeded yet, but I’m always trying!) and of capturing the emotion of the moment in every glance at that photo. Thank you, Alberto, for the photographer you are, the teacher you are, and the person you are.

About a decade ago, I began exploring the opportunity to participate in photography workshops to learn from industry experts and enhance my understanding of shooting techniques and the myriad functions available in the latest digital cameras. It was a great pleasure to meet Alberto Ghizzi Panizza, who has been a promoter and tutor of various workshops on a wide range of photography-related topics. I greatly appreciated his ability to consistently propose highly stimulating initiatives, during which I could tackle the main technical challenges of shooting in sometimes quite extreme situations. Alberto has always been very attentive in guiding me and all other participants, providing the necessary tips to achieve excellent shots. What I appreciated the most was his approach to interacting with participants and teaching with utmost availability and simplicity, without emphasizing the significant gap between a serious and accomplished professional like him and the course attendees. His meticulous knowledge of all camera settings and post-production techniques with various software has been a tremendous help and motivation for me to better utilize all the tools available to photographers. I hope to have the chance to travel with Alberto again and continue learning from him.

Thank you, Alberto Ghizzi Panizza and Luca Vescera—you have no idea how much you contribute, both in terms of heart and technique. This isn’t flattery; I’ve been traveling with you for several trips now, and just like in the first one (Portugal), when I could barely walk, I now manage to follow you up and down stairs and ascents. I am learning to follow your techniques and apply the advice you give me. With just a little more "Capellino" (a playful nod to improvement), I’m confident that I’ll return from the Lofoten Islands with a great collection of photos and emotions. The atmosphere you create on your trips among us is hard to find elsewhere. So, thank you from all angles.

It has been about 5 years since I had the pleasure of meeting Master Alberto Ghizzi Panizza at a photography course in PR, and I was immediately impressed by his way of explaining the world of photography. Through Alberto Ghizzi Panizza, I also had the pleasure of meeting Master Luca Vescera, who, together with Alberto, forms a winning team. I have been fortunate to have two great professionals as my photography mentors. Thank you for all the teachings and workshops we’ve done, and for those we will continue to do together.

I have participated in several workshops with Alberto, and I can confidently say that each time is a unique experience that I highly recommend trying. Alberto is not just an outstanding photographer but a true artist! An indefatigable professional in the search for new techniques, he always manages to amaze us with breathtaking images and brilliant compositions. Moreover, his great passion for his work, his uncommon generosity in sharing his knowledge, and the creativity of the compositions he suggests are crucial for improving one's approach to the art of photography.

I have known Alberto Ghizzi Panizza since 2016 and since then I have followed him as often as I can. I find him to be a truly professional and always available person In his courses, both in the classroom and outside, he is always very clear and manages to explain even the most complicated things in a simple way! The passion he puts into what he does is truly contagious!!!

First of all, I would like to compliment you on the great passion that Ghizzi Panizza puts into his work. The ability to explain complex things in a simple way makes everything more enjoyable and understandable. I recommend anyone who works with Nikon/Canon cameras and needs further information to refer to Alberto Ghizzi Panizza.

What to say about Alberto: an exceptional photographer, a true professional but also a humble person willing to share all his knowledge (for photographers of his level, something truly rare). His photos speak for themselves and despite having taken billions of photos, each new shot amazes with wonder and always tells something spectacular. Thanks Alberto!!!
Federica Zavaroni
Great and serious professional. A multifaceted photographer, there is no situation that he does not know how to photograph and make spectacular. With his empathy he manages to transmit knowledge with passion. I have done more than one workshop with Alberto Ghizzi Panizza, even in the same places, but it is always something new! Every time he manages to capture situations that you do not see and every time you learn new things. On every occasion, even with adverse weather conditions, he finds the system to make you shoot, and transfers his ability with method, calmness, serenity and ... fun!!!
Lucia Corrà
Alberto is a photographer with a great passion for his art! I had the pleasure of participating in some of his workshops, he knows how to transmit his passion for photography to his students in a contagious way. I learned a lot from Alberto, both from a technical and creative point of view. A deep connoisseur of various brands, he knows how to give valuable advice on how to best set up your photographic equipment and consequently improve your technique. An exceptional teacher and a great person to be with. To those who are looking to improve their photographic skills, I highly recommend participating in one of his workshops.
Claudio Guardigli
I have already attended several workshops by Alberto and I have always found the same passion and enthusiasm in transmitting his immense photographic talent to the participants. I have learned many things from him, but what I consider a fundamental part of my photographic arsenal is that you should not be satisfied with the first shooting point that comes across, but that you need to explore the subject all around and you will almost always be rewarded with an original and unexpected shot.
